Well, I remember there was a book I read when I was younger called The Supernaturalists, by Eoin Colfer, and it was one of my favorites. May not have aged well though.
Recently, I really liked the Martian, and also this interesting book I found called The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker. It's a mix of a dystopian setting and a coming-of-age story, set on Earth as its rotation suddenly starts to come to a stop.
Pretty sure there is a book about this....https://www.amazon.com/dp/0812982940/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_47ACNYWVBQTGQXQ728HR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have to do one next week, but I have to do it over this book.
Age of Mircales This is more current apocolypse but a great read. Flowertown - Not necessarily post-apocalyptic, but post major environmental disaster
The Age of Miracles. Hands down best book I've read in 3 years. It's based in a world where the Earth slowly stops rotating.
