The turntable (well, technically that appears to be an all-in-one stereo) looks similar to a lot of the old BSR record changers. Might be an idler wheel drive type, and if it's been sitting disused a long time the rubber idler tire might have dried out and become misshapen, leading to it sounding wobbly. They can be replaced (or in some cases rebuilt) but I'm not sure its worth it for that particular unit. The replacement stylus as shown here identifies it as having a ceramic cartridge...

The clock radio looks like it might be based on the old "All American Five" design. (a reference to the circuit using 5 tubes) There's an inherent risk of electric shock in some of those designs, due to their transformerless design in which the chassis would be connected directly to one side of the mains voltage, so use caution if opening it up...
