1) READ THIS BOOK! At least the first few chapters. http://www.amazon.com/Science-Analog-Circuit-Design-Engineers/dp/0750670622/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1314051943&sr=1-4
2) Depending on your experience, start getting involved in building small electronic projects. A LED light, a timer, an Audio AMP, programming a small micro. 3) Know the BASIC Electronics class so that you explain to anyone.
I recommend an excerpt from one of my favorite (books). The excerpt is written by an IC designer (now a VP at LTC) and is called, "A New Graduates Guide To The Analog Interview". I'd imagine the questions are cake for anyone who wants to do analog IC design. Get a 20/20 or you are doomed.
You can find it (here).
There are questions at the bottom, along with answers and a scoring rubric.
For questions on MOSFET stuff, (this) is good too (scroll down for questions).
Sounds about right.
The book that got me into analog design literally has “art” in the title.
