Very funny! Appreciate all contributions to the writing space to help explain Bitcoin, including fun pirate poems! It’s a powerful concept, that work, not moneybags, governs which blocks are added to the Bitcoin blockchain!
I also wrote a fun short book explaining POW featuring talking animals in the Australian outback. Feel free to check it out! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
Super easy to read, follow, and understand. Great job Yang! It can be tough to write clearly to help explain to people computer science concepts.
I tried writing my own book explaining the C++ code of Bitcoin with talking animals in the Australian outback. Check it out! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
Ah ok. Well luckily you can always disable uploading for your node! It won’t add to the network since you can’t forward on transactions, but it’ll still increase your conviction in Bitcoin! You’ll be able to verify your transactions for yourself with your own node without having to rely on an online blockchain explorer to tell you how much Bitcoin you have!
I just published a fun little book explaining how Bitcoin works featuring talking animals in the Australian outback and the importance of the Bitcoin nodes. Feel free to check it out! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
I run a full node also through a raspberry pi 4. You will be in awe of the network as you piece together the blockchain, block by block.
For me, I used Bitcoin Core, the actual original Bitcoin source code, but umbrella or mynode are great as well.
You don’t have to connect your actual Bitcoin wallet to your node to benefit from the node. You can continue doing what you’re doing, but use your node to check for yourself that one of your addresses has the Bitcoin you think it does! Very cool!!

It’s great he’s pro Bitcoin, but the fact that the irony of his attack is lost on him is absolutely hilarious.
The entire power of Bitcoin is that it’s a decentralized PERMISSIONLESS network anyone on the planet can plug into! No one can stop the nodes following the Bitcoin protocol from accepting valid blocks mined by any miner, regardless of who “declares war” on them or not! It’s this decentralized permissionless design that entices Mr. Wonderful to mine Bitcoin in the first place!
Sorry Kevin, but for Bitcoin it’s Tick Tock Next Block Bitcoin doesn’t care.
You can read more about how the Bitcoin network works in my new book, Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
The idea behind Web 3.0 and the metaverse is appealing: that when I buy digital content in video games, I own it, and can bring it with me into other games.
The problem is that all that content is created by centrally controlled game publishers. There’s nothing to stop Blizzard from saying, “we’ll our NEWEST NFT armor is actually MORE powerful” making the NFT armor you had bought effectively worthless.
Blockchain is a completely useless and inefficient technology except for exactly one use: a decentralized digital token currency that can never be increased in supply. Bitcoin.
If you want to read more about the Bitcoin source code and why it’s so magnificent it’s decentralized, check out my new book! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
Some great replies in this thread! I’ve written a fun to read book explaining this topic featuring talking animals in the Australian outback. Check it out! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
If you think you’re too late to buy Bitcoin, you’re wrong. Just take a look at all the people replying to that post who still think we’re going to $0!
Bitcoin will go through a having cycle in 2024 and again in 2028. It tends to double or more in value at each halving cycle as the amount of Bitcoin supply created is cut in half. There will only ever be 21 million Bitcoin, with the last sliver of Bitcoin mined in 2140. Currently there exist 19 million Bitcoin, so only 2million more will ever be mined.
The market cap of Gold is $10Trillion, and Bitcoin was about $1Trillion since every Bitcoin was about $50k. We can double to about $100k, double again to about $250k, and finally double a third time to $500k, overtaking the Gold market cap as a store of value.
It’s not too late to invest. We are still early.

Can’t trust Bitcoin either! DONT trust Bitcoin!
But what can you do with Bitcoin unlike everything else in the world? Verify it. The blockchain is open and public, with every transaction able to be verified that no one has ever spent Bitcoin they didn’t have.
Don’t trust, verify.
Not only is the blockchain public, but the code is open source as well! You can have fun reading my short book about it in Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
Yup that’s right! I’ve got that explained in a fun way via talking animals in the Australian outback in the book I just published on Amazon!

It’s true that it can be integrated with your hardware wallet, but that’s not the best reason.
With your own node, you prove to yourself that Bitcoin really is decentralized. You don’t need to rely on a centrally controlled blockchain explorer website or your hw wallet software to tell you how much Bitcoin you have.
With just a raspberry pi and a hard drive, you can download the entire history of the Bitcoin blockchain yourself, block by block from other nodes on the peer-to-peer network, verifying each block as you receive it, and confirm for yourself that your public Bitcoin wallet address has the BTC you think it does.
Embedded forever in the longest proof-of-work Bitcoin chain.
I wrote a fun little book explaining how the source code works. Feel free to check it out!
I recommend the ledger academy on ledger.com
If you’d like a fun entertaining read on the Bitcoin source code, I just published a book featuring talking animals explaining Bitcoin! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
Thank you for your contribution to the community. This is huge! I wrote a fun little book on the source code if you’d like more Bitcoin reading, but this is incredible! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
As Saylor says, “Everyday I wake up and ask myself what’s one thing I can help do in support of Bitcoin?”
Of course! You never know what’ll stick for people. I myself just published a book on Bitcoin on Amazon. Good for you for helping contribute to the community. Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
Nope. You can get Bitmain Antminer S9 used for under a thousand dollars! That’s the price of a MacBook anyways. It won’t be profitable of course, but you do need that kind of hardware to even meet the minimum thresholds to mine a few Sats a day from a pool.
Buyer beware: just because it doesn’t have as much hashing power as the S19’s, doesn’t mean it’s any less hot or noisy!
If you’re interested to learn more about how mining actually works, I’ve written a fun little book about the Bitcoin source code! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
To me the best way to start is with Bitcoin and a strong understanding of its fundamentals. Then when you look at all other altcoins, you’ll realize why Bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency the world ever needs. With higher conviction, you’ll do better investing. I recommend my book. Only 40 pages and a fun read! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
Love it! The easiest way I could think to explain it was publishing a book on a deep dive into the Bitcoin C++ source code and talking animals in the Australian outback
I published a fun 40 page book on the source code explained by talking animals in the Australian outback. Check it out!
Thanks! If you want to learn more. Check out my fun little book I just published Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
Thanks! I’ve been lurking this sub for a long time, and after finally publishing my book on Bitcoin I had to make an account! Bitcoin Dog @Amazon
