What about a licensed therapist? Do you have healthcare? I feel like looking for work and going for walks is enough for now. She is having a hard time and is doing what she can/absolutely needs to. Maybe instead of pushing her to be more upbeat you accept her for where she is currently at and see if you can get her professional help. You might want to try CBT flashcards (see link) if you don't have healthcare.
