Okay, its ranting time since I checked the curriculum of this Mark guy and oh boy does it not dissappoint.

Basically an elitist, classist, boomer who thinks that listening to Mozart and reading enough Shakespeare makes you smart and who thinks to high of himself and his reading preferences.
A fine example would be the Amazon reviews of the book "The Dumbest Generation" (http://www.amazon.com/Dumbest-Generation-Stupefies-Americans-Jeopardizes/dp/1585427128/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1283546442&sr=8-1) Half of these reviews can be summed up like this: "I AGREE BECAUSE I AM OVER 30." ...compelling. It's like they don't understand that the author (Mark Bauerlein, a professor at Emory) did not write this book so that they can jerk themselves off over it.
not nearly as impressive as turning faceless multibillion dollar megacorporations from villains into champions in less than a generation
lots of hard data says otherwise
they say your generation is the most tolerant in history
unfortunately they're also the dumbest
I'm not sure that's a worthwhile trade tbh
great thinkers mocking the young dates back to Aristotle at least
however things are a bit different today, where fundamental structural changes are occurring at lightning pace that are simply eliminating the need for more bodies in the workplace, especially the dumbest ones in recorded history
in short, there's no need to fuck the youth; society will do it for them, and they seem keen to do it to themselves
> Say they squeeze an x86_64 license out of AMD and Intel chooses not to veto it through some litigious shenanigans.
cool straw man but what I said was Apple would just buy it from Intel, and DOJ would strongarm them into selling it
> They'll have to have it fabricated somewhere, and the only realistic options are TSMC and GlobalFoundries.
huh? at this point they own AMD, they use the same facilities AMD is using today
I'd go on but you clearly have a serious reading and comprehension problem
the straw man is the one where you said Apple would squeeze a license out of AMD which isn't remotely what I said
or, more likely, the concept of a straw man is giving you difficulty
I'd go on but you clearly have a serious reading and comprehension problem
