No, it really isn't. When someone says something, it's typically up to the listener to determine whether they're stating it as a fact or an opinion. It's something they teach elementary kids. When somebody says "You're mean!", is that a "fact" or an "opinion"?
You even got it right earlier in our conversation. I said "it's a technological dead end", and you (correctly) inferred that I was expressing an opinion when you asked "Why do you think it's a technological dead end?" Later on you expressed an opinion without unnecessarily prefacing it with a clarifier:

And here:

On a more general note, you should probably read "Elements of Style" by William Strunk, Jr.
