If so, a very smart linguistics lady named Suzette Haden Elgin wrote a book a ways back about the differences between how women and men communicate in the workplace, intended to help women working in male-dominated organizations.
It's called "The Gentle Art Of Verbal Self-Defense For Business Success", and I remember reading it because I've read every other book of hers in that series. Not as applicable to me, but seemed to have a lot of good advice.
