I like them for all day stews and braises, and I’m a big fan of this book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1580084893/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_1C7TR77P1ZZQ23BH4DW8. Every recipe I’ve made has been amazing., and we can’t survive winter without the Italian Pot Roast recipe. I also love the pulled pork from Kitchn, (https://www.thekitchn.com/easy-slow-cooker-pulled-pork-258339), though frankly Kenji’s is even better and better than a backyard smoked butt (https://www.seriouseats.com/easy-oven-pulled-pork-recipe). But pulled pork is a standby because you can do so much with it—sandwiches, tacos, casseroles…but I digress. I also like them for mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving, and I always make my stock in them overnight—just the easiest and most reliable way.
