Thank You! Far too many people refuse to recognize the difference even though it's huge. This book literally changed my life, I highly recommend it to everyone. I haven't had a single remedy listed in that book fail me yet and the number of conditions he covers are ridiculous. Just about all the remedies are based on good science which he outlines when describing why the plant helps and the few that aren't based on science are listed at the end with reasons as to why he felt they should be included. Herbal medicine is legit and in my personal experience, far more effective than pharmaceuticals at fighting common illnesses like the cold and flu. That doesn't mean the book is a replacement for a doctor, but if you use it you won't be seeing your doctor as often which in the end benefits both your health and the strain on our health care system
They're common landscaping plants here in the US. I wouldn't be surprised if they are used in the UK too because they seem suited to the climate. If forsythia is planted there you've probably seen it and not known that's what it was. It is usually the first flowering bush in the spring and is completely covered in yellow flowers. https://www.extension.iastate.edu/news/files/news/images/forsythia.jpg
Echinacea's more common name is purple coneflower and it's often sold as seeds and in nurseries under that name. http://www.photos-public-domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/purple-echinacea-coneflower.jpg
My favorite book on herbs is The Green Pharmacy. It has herbal remedies for just about everything and the author is a true expert.
