I'm that old. The reprinted edition of the book from 1980 is still in print. But if you think I'm going to waste my time with a snivelling infant who can't resist gratuitous insults in every message, think again.
This is the book .It does claim to explore all of Tolkiens 14 languages but the vast majority of it is about the Elvish Languages Sindarin and Quenya. I think it’s out of print now, but in the link above it looks like you can get used copies on Amazon.

Oh no, sorry, I wrote the wrong book. It's The Languages of Tolkien's Middle-Earth: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0395291305/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_eo9TzbDEFDE21
Which is why this is a must have for any true LOTR fan!
It is called Quenya. There are two people groups. The Noldor and the Sindar. The Noldor went to Aman. The Sindar are called the gray elves because they never saw the light in Aman, or some times the Dark Elves.
What was in the movie was the language of the Noldor, as Galadriel is of the Noldor line.
