As for republication, the topic was debated for over a year at DG Hart's blog, a place where I frequented for a long time and read many of the comments.
There are over 800 comments between mainly "David R" and "Jeff Cagle" on the thread at DG Hart's blog entitled Why Republication Matters.
The OPC appointed a study committee
>Election of the Study Committee for the Issue of Republication The study committee will consist of five men. Sixteen men were nominated. The following men were elected: the Revs. Craig Troxel, Chad Van Dixhoorn, Bryan Estelle, Benjamin Swinburnson and Lane Tipton.
So you can avoid clicking on any of that and just wait for the report to come out. Should be good bedside reading (haha).
Here also is the pro-republication side and the against case, but again, I hold personally to:
>4. There is no smoking gun. I have seen nothing that demonstrates that good reformed theologians cannot hold to either side in the debate.
Grace and peace.
