Hey there, not the OP but this is the book that my teacher and I found for LOTR music. It comes with backing tracks too. I think if you get the digital version it comes with access to digital mp3s instead of the cd.

As an update: Playing with the CD definitely helps a lot. I can almost play most of them with the accompaniment and the instrumentals just sound so great
Happy cake day!
I have a few hobbies, but my newest one is learning to play the violin. It's super daunting, and I find myself hating it much more than loving it lately. I keep snapping strings when I try to tune, my pegs slip a lot, and I'm struggling to find the right pressure for bow strikes. But when things go well, it's the most soothing thing in the world for me to play. It's one of only two things in the world that tune out all the thoughts in my head. This is something I'd love to learn to play from, because LOTR has a breathtaking soundtrack.
My hobby that I recently retired from was living history/WWII reenacting. I became very well respected, and had a lot of really wonderful, once in a lifetime experiences. I've met high up Russian politicians, ridden in/used and cared for various tanks, rockets, artillery, vehicles, and other original equipment. I've made nice with pilots who let me sit in their original planes from the war, I've met one of the Bielski brothers, and I was honored to be asked to lecture high school teachers in my region on the history of Soviet women in the war. My professor still uses my research paper on the daily life of Soviet infantrywomen as a teaching too, and offered me a job at the military history museum that he's on the board of. While I do deeply miss some aspects of that hobby, I didn't do well with the political extremist opinions that a lot of other members held and I was also sexually assaulted. This is a book by Norwich professor & leading historian on Soviet women in the war, Reina Pennington, a woman who I have admired for years and years but never have been able to get my hands on her book for whatever reasons.
