I love his art style—if you guys are interested, check out The Metabarons comic book series written by Alejandro Jordorowsky illustrated by Giminez. It’s like Dune mixed with Star Wars and LSD. One of my favorites that I can not recommend enough to comic book lovers

There's some good recommendations on this thread but most of them are not sci-fi at all, if you really want to check sci-fi you can't go wrong with The Metabarons by Jodorowski and Jimenez, crazy millenia spawning story across the universe, think of Dune meets The Borgias, you won't find any better sci-fi art

If anyone wants to see a great sci fi epic told through the eyes of a servant / helper droid check out Metabarons.

I just looked up Metabarons after reading your comment, looks interesting. Is this volume the complete story? I prefer reading series which have already finished.

Oh for sure. He’d probably like Seven to Eternity then. Others to check out:

• The Metabarons by Jodorosky looks really good. Haven’t had a chance to read it yet but I’ve heard great things. Omnibus
• Ody-C is a really cool sci-fi retelling of Homer’s Odyssey. Written by Matt Fraction who along with Chip Zdarsky also did a far out series called Sex Criminals about a girl who finds out she can freeze time when she orgasms, then finds a guy who can also do it, so they will EF then like rob a bank, but time authorities start to notice. That’s also a wild ride. Ody-C: Cycle One (Issues 1-12) & SC Vol 1: One Weird Trick
• Sentient is another that looks good that I haven’t read yet. Had echoes of Raised by Wolves by with a ship’s A.I. instead of androids. Full Story
• There’s a series called Black Science he should definitely check out too. Really good sci-fi. Rick Remender is an amazing writer. Vol 1: How to Fall Forever
• I don’t know if he’s read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (the book that spawned Blade Runner) but they did a graphic novel treatment that’s incredible. Omnibus
• Tokyo Ghost is like a cyberpunk meets traditional samurai/Yakuza/Far Eastern culture gangland story. Really unique take on the genre. Volume 1: Atomic Garden
• God Complex is like a cyberpunk sci-fi… existential story? Where we meet our gods sort of. It’s a fun read though. Dogma
• And lastly, two others I haven’t read but have been meaning to check out because I’ve heard good things are Descender which comes highly recommended, and Glitch which is a cyberpunk horror, which sounds amazing.

So that should hopefully give him a ton to start with. I didn’t include Saga because you said you had read that, but that’s also one of the absolute best out there. Also, I linked to all the physical copies of the books because I love me a physical read of graphic novels, but you can easily find the kindle or comixology link as well on each page. If he checks any out you’ll have to let me know. Transmetropolitan is a great one too. Very visceral. Very Splatterpunk. Oooo, Planetary is another he might like then in that vein. Omnibus

Remember, Ever book you buy is taking away from other books. If you spend 3x as much as you needed on one single book, that's other books your cutting into - all for just a slipcase, or a slightly larger format. Not worth it.
