I am curious about your opinion of other's takes on the person of Jesus. I just released a copy of the Jefferson Bible in updated English, and I was struck by how different Jefferson's Jesus was from the one pushed by traditional Christianity. What do you think of the Jesus Thomas Jefferson presented? Why do you think so many are eager to fit Jesus into their own mold? Is it because they want the authority of being able to say Jesus would agree with their position, or does it come from an internal desire to convince themselves of the truth of their beliefs?
