chemical exfoliant. those are not blackheads, they are called "sebaceous filaments". it's basically dead skin and oil thats stuck in your pours. i really like the ordinary's peeling solution. i got mine at ulta for 7 bucks. i would be cautious if you have sensitive skin though, because it does burn/sting a bit. i have sensitive skin and it hasn't given my trouble but still.
also, the black charcoal mask is probably doing nothing for you. it might make your skin feel smooth for a bit but it does absolutely nothing for your skin (unless it's one of the ones that pulls blackheads out) good luck!!
I ended up going to a dermatologist because I have a bunch of scars from picking my face and hyper pigmentation. Starting off, just find a decent cleanser and moisturizing cream with sunscreen. Cerave has products in both categories and are reasonably affordable. Buy a sunscreen with at least spf 30. Avoid Olay products because while they're cheap and everywhere, they're pretty mediocre. Also, sunscreen is important even if you're just hanging out at home.
You can use a retinol cream which can smooth out certain scars over time. I use the one from Neutrogena. Careful with retinol during the day though. You absolutely must use sunscreen on top or you'll damage your skin. You can also opt to use it only at bedtime though, just make sure to wash your face and apply sunscreen in the morning.
That's a good foundation. I went further and started looking for eye cream for dark circles and crows fee as well as toners but I can't make any recommendations yet as I'm still testing. Though origins eye doctor and Paula's best are two brands that I see recommended often on r/SkincareAddiction
Another thing I'm currently looking at is a chemical peeling solution. Extremely dangerous if your skin isn't compatible and you must follow the directions. I'm still waiting for this product from the ordinary to arrive though the reviews seem promising. It can help with hyperpigmentation and scaring.
I like the ordinary line. I get really dry skin as well. (The Ordinary Peeling Solution 30ml AHA 30% + BHA 2% https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071D4D5DT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_VJW154Z6QTS99Q4BFA79) this is what I use for scaring. It’s a minor chemical peel (don’t go more than 10 minutes when using it) I also use their marula oil to add moisture to my skin. They aren’t very expensive so it might be with a try!
The ordinary BHA Would you guys trust amazon resellers? Been trying to pick this up for a while now but its been out of stock online except on Amazon. I don't mind paying the extra since I've been only hearing good things about it.
You can buy it on Amazon in Canada...price is super marked up (😭), but you can get it!
If anyone cares: This really looks like The Ordinary’s BHA/AHA chemical peel which is a skincare cult favourite.
I use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071D4D5DT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_125PSW0NVVHTT3AT5EX7?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
A couple times a week. It seems to help
its a AHA BHA peel from the ordinary I believe this one https://www.amazon.com/Ordinary-Peeling-Solution-30ml-AHA/dp/B071D4D5DT/ref=sr_1_35?dchild=1&keywords=the+ordinary&qid=1597948692&sr=8-35
Comprei aqui na Amazon
Algumas pessoas comentaram que não é original, mas no meu não vi diferenças e ele funcionou perfeitamente.
As a skincare tiktok-er I can guess some of the products are
the Ordinary Peeling Solution
amazon has it from third party
