Animal suffering does tend to be ignored by theist philosophers who work on the problem of evil. However this guy Trent Dougherty wrote a book attempting to address it. https://www.amazon.com/Problem-Animal-Pain-Creatures-Philosophy/dp/0230368484
>Can any theistic philosopher right now comment on how to reconcile the history of the earth(filled with immense suffering, extinctions etc) and omnibenevolence of god?
I sure can't. I'm not aware of any theists who have really given a satisfying answer to this. Generally what you get is "skeptical theism" style responses, i.e. "We can't see why God would create in this way, but maybe God has good reasons that we just aren't aware of".
