According to several scholars, Lincoln was not the romanticized, liberty loving hero that history has tried to paint him... He sounded like trash, really.

If it was about "slavery" only, then why did Lincoln promise the south they could retain slavery if they stayed in the Union? Why did Lincoln want to deport them to South America? We are still under rule of a central government that is still raping and pillaging its people and trying to keep them under a control system called the federal government.

I think you were fed -- and you generally accepted with only a superficial critique (if any) -- a lot of propaganda in your so called "history" classes.
And I should note that I do NOT mean that in a derogatory way. Students tend to believe and trust their teachers (who may themselves be quite sincere in believing that they are teaching "facts" or "objective history", etc) -- and even if they don't, then if/when they "check" what the teacher is telling them by doing some additional reading (in what minimal mainstream accepted sources the students have access to) and it confirms what the teacher is telling them, well it is generally understandable that they didn't "keep digging".

The "wars" never should have happened in the first place. (There was certainly no reason for the US to become involved in WWII, and that goes 10x over for WWI... without the late US entry into which, by the way, virtually every agrees WWII probably would not have occurred.)

I think you have only the "victor's whitewashed" understanding of what took place in and around the Civil War era; and the Hollywood "hagiographic" view of Lincoln (in line with the recent -- not to mention the many prior -- film).
To gain a wider view of the things you are missing... well for starters, you could try reading Tom DiLorenzo's The Real Lincoln: A New Look at Abraham Lincoln, His Agenda, and an Unnecessary War -- that ought to at least open your eyes to the fact that you've been sold a proverbial "bill of goods" via what was fed to you in school and mainstream media about the man and the era.

Wrong. He literally endorsed the Corwin amendment in his inaugural speech. An amendment that would have made it constitutionally illegal for the federal government to do anything about slavery.
