https://www.amazon.com/Trial-Saddam-Hussein-Abdul-Haq-Al-Ani-ebook/dp/B005HZ6G1U (the author literally wrote a whole god damn book about his work as a lawyer for Saddam pre and post invasion, discussing in depth his work as a sanction buster, would have taken you 10 seconds to google)
Sources on all three. I’m not a troll, but I am someone who sees a serious issue in the mass disinformation campaign occurring in threads like this. I am actually very left leaning and support some pretty far out liberal causes, but it pisses me off seeing people post bulk statistics with essentially no source besides an unvetted book written by two Saddam Hussein loyalists. I’ve taken a significant portion of university courses at this point focused entirely on conflict in the Arab world, so it gets under my skin seeing keyboard warriors see a single 2 minute YouTube video on US foreign policy and suddenly think they are experts on the matter.
