Your right man that would be more accurate.
There was absolutely a bronze age economy and those resources were vital.
Actually seeing some comments about how the Trojan War wasn't real around the place too.
Barry Strauss (Mr Ancient Greco/Roman) wrote a great little book in the 2000's I picked up last year called the "Trojan War" if anyone is interested.

Now it's short as history books go but he's convinced the conflict very likely happened on new archaeological evidence.
