There are a few good books and software available. Tesla Coil Design is a good book and I've used https://www.teslamap.com/ which is a downloadable piece of software. This site, Information Unlimited, has all sorts of HV kits, plans, components, etc. including Tesla coils.

eBay is also a good source for Tesla coil parts like transformers and HV capacitors.
