I'm old, and it's pretty seldom that I read a book any more that changes the way I think about things. <em>The Unpersuadables</em> by Will Storr made me rethink the way I think about conspiracy theorists, and also about myself. I highly recommend it.
If even a (according to you) .1 percentile already causes this much trouble and grief, then we're not on a good trajectory for the future.

How many reports would be sufficient for you? One thousand? Ten thousand? Or could all the data in world never persuade you? Are you an "unpersuadable"?
