7 year old is reading Flora and Ulysses. 5 year old is reading The Adventures of Otto Books. I've just finished Death on the Nile and Murder on the Orient Express (first time ever reading Christie and I loved them!) and am now reading Valleys of the Assassins by iconic explorer and adventurer Freya Stark, and The Mysterious Affair of Styles. I'd never heard of Freya Stark before a month ago, and boy that lady is impressive. And she was a fabulous writer as well.

A bit dated but [The Valleys of the Assassins(https://www.amazon.com/Valleys-Assassins-Persian-Travels-Paperback/dp/0375757538) by Freya Stark. I found it hidden in this book store a few years back and had to grab it since I was learning Persian/Farsi at the time.
