Thera-Med Headache Ice Pack Relief Band - Fabric Lined Ice Pack for Headache Relief and Migraine Relief - Works On Tension Headaches, Sinus Headaches, Minor Injuries https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004O3RF70/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_UtOpFb4SYVBPB
Here another band that’s thinner, and has two cold “settings”. I bought this for my mother a few years back. It has a fabric “cold” side and a plastic “extremely cold” side, and it Velcro’s. Also great for ankle & knee injuries! The only negative thing is the plastic sweats but with a migraine that’s the least of my worries.
I very much think the wider one you suggested though might work better for light sensitivity as well, and it would probably absorb the sweat from the ice melting.
I only comment this link on top of yours in the hopes that someone has specific needs and this band might be great for them. After a migraine last night, I’m giving more unsolicited help than usual because my sympathy is up 😂
Get one of these (or 2 so you can swap them out and always have 1 cold). For many, cold can provide some extra relief and these are awesome because you don't have to hold it and it's gel, so it's flexible and doesn't get as cold.
I'm 30 and I have had migraines since I was in middle school, so I've had some time to learn my triggers. Heat, bright light, and physical exertion are my biggest ones (I live in Florida... the cruel irony). I do have some food triggers though and I learned by going on keto that carbs/sugar is one of them. I've been on keto 2 years now and it has definitely helped. I have been using Migraine Buddy to track my migraines since March, and according to it I have had 19 migraines. That comes out to one every 1.7 (8 x 4 / 19) weeks on average. I wasn't tracking before keto, but it definitely felt like it was more often than that.
My strategies differ depending on where the pain is. Usually advil is involved.
Stabbing pain over the eye:
Terrible pain in back of neck:
Generalized pressure pains that crawl around my head like my brain is cosplaying a migraine hentai:
*Some people prefer higher end ice bands, but I'm cheap and I like these a lot
** Also, I usually put on a podcast or audiobook.
Here are some of my faves:

This is a good suggestion. I have one of these in my freezer already for normal migraines. Maybe I should order a second one so I can continually swap them out...
I use this and really find relief, though I look a bit crazy with it! http://www.amazon.com/Theramed-TMF10133-Cold-Headache-Band/dp/B004O3RF70/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449608644&sr=8-1&keywords=headache+ice+pack
