I forgot about one of my best friend's birthdays a week ago. I still feel shitty about it even though he said it was okay. He works at a mouse-based theme park and walks a lot of miles every day so I tried to make up for it by buying him a foot massager on Amazon. He loves it. I don't usually spend that much though.

Mostly I go the old-fashioned route and send a greeting card. Plus a $10 USD gift card for someplace I know they like.

• Compression socks, like the other commenter suggested.
• Good shoes! Nikes were too narrow for my feet so I would finish my shifts limping. New Balances are perfect for me. It is recommended that you replace your shoes at least every six months.
• Magnesium supplements for muscle pain! I use this one.Don’t take before work though because it can make you sleepy.
• Foam rolling.
• This wooden foot massager. Looks like a torture device but it makes my feet feel so good.
• Epsom salt baths.
• Stretching! This is advice that always gets on my nerves because I hate doing it, but I have hip bursitis and it makes a big difference.
