I recommend this one. I've had it since 2017.
The company is US based so their customer service is responsive and helpful. Not that I've needed them. But you can tell the difference in their Amazon marketplace. The lack of crappy photoshopped images and drop ship from china means you're actually getting a quality product. My parents have one too.
Thinkware F70. I've had mine since 2016, so it's been 6 years and it's still working 100%. I leave my car parked out on the street in the heat/cold and it's never had problems. I have two, one for the front and another for the rear. It's done its job and I think it'll last another 5 years. I paid $140 for both and it's definitely worth it. It's caught a few car crashes that I see on the road.
They have a few Thinkware dash cams at Best Buy so you can go and see them if you wanted. Just make sure to price match with Amazon.
I did some looking and found the F70 on Amazon for $90. I think it's a great long-term investment. If you can, opt for the GPS accessory which will keep the time automatically and display your speed on the video.
He ends up recommending this one for most people:
I got a Thinkware F70, for me that is the best you can get. Because it's very practical but it's not too big.
