TX is the Xbox (plus PC) version of the T300. Here's one example of the few "TX" bundles out there : https://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-TX-RW-Leather-XBOX-One/dp/B0151K6FPC/ref=sr\_1\_2?dchild=1&keywords=thrustmaster+tx&qid=1623014737&sr=8-2
I got the ThrustMaster TX leather. I was able to grab it on sale for $345, but it looks like its jumped back up to $480.
That tmx wheel is pretty entry level wheel and pedals are horrible and no clutch.
I recommend to go atleast t300rs or tx but those also have poor pedals. But you can buy tx base + rim + better thrustmaster pedals.
Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-Racing-Wheel-Leather-Premium-Official/dp/B0151K6FPC/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1479745654&sr=1-3&th=1
t300 and tx are belt driven wheels and those are much smoother than new logitech wheels wich are basicly old g27 wheels with new colors.
Better internals, wheel switching, and hard mount points for stand/cockpit.
Though if you are on a budget or don't plan on being a very hardcore racer the TMX should be fine.
Though if you do wanna spend the monies..you won't do better than the TX VG Bundle on Xbox one without going to a full $1.2K for the fanatic gear.
> And you'll have to add on $250 for shifter and pedals to the TX
Shifter I can do with out for a good while (till I decide if a cockpit is worth it for me or not) but I dunno where that add on $250 price came from. This is the thrustmaster wheel I was looking at.
Forza is great, so far. The graphics are truly jaw dropping. The driving mechanics are good as well (I'm not a huge racer and am only using a controller . . . but, I'm thinking of getting a thrustmaster vg tx for this game).
Forza was the first game I played on my shiny new Xbox. I played for only two days then wanted to give Halo a quick try. LOL. Halo has sucked up all of my time since then. I'll get back to Forza after this, though.
By the way, have you played Project Cars? I am really interested in that one. How does is play on the Xbox? I know it is supposed to be better on the PS4 (which I do own), but I can only afford to buy one driving wheel right now.
Since GT7 won't be here for about another 15 months or more, I am playing Forza 6. So...if I buy the thrustmaster vg tx for use with my Xbox, I'll want to play Project Cars on the Xbox as well.
So...can the Xbox handle it, or not?
yup thats a good deal. they are coming out with a 200$ t150 also, but the real setup for you would be what i linked/you were aiming for.
In all fairness Forza 6 has the best physics yet. IMO they make everything a little too oversteer happy but its a massive improvement even from 5.
There might some hope that Project Cars 2 might introduce some of the stock car and customization to PC. Also we might spam MS to bring Forza to PC. So far Fable, Halo, and Gears of War are all coming to PC.
If you looove Forza.... save up and buy one of these. You can pick up the add on-shifter too. Pricier, but IMO I wouldn't support Logitech. They could have written an xbox one driver for the g27 but decided to sell you a new wheel + 200% price hike instead.
Late to the discussion.
For a $700 budget: Go with a Thrustmaster TX and the TH8A Shifter.
You have a great base, good starting wheel, decent pedal set. (Comes with the TP3As, but not the new Load Cell ones.) And, the shifter completes the base package. You can then later get more wheels, such as a F1 style if that's your fancy, and upgrade to load cell later on.
Sticking with Thrustmaster, the T300 as a step up from the TMX, and since you have real life racing experience your expectations will be better met with the T300. The TMX is a hybrid Belt and Gear driven unit, where the T300 is fully belt driven. If you had them side by side you would definitely notice the difference.
Another thing to consider is number of pedals. If you like to shift and plan to get a shifter it might be a good plan to spend a touch more now and ensure you get a package with 3 pedals. Here are some recommendations:
Just a note, I know there are many fans, but Fanatec's reputation for horrible customer service, less than reliable hardware, and price premiums keep me away. I have pedals from them and am quite happy with those, but still, thought I'd mention it.
Already out of stock. when I post this, less than 10 were in stock.
The G29 is for PS and not useful in my case since I wanna game on Xbox. If Thrustmasters is the only choice I would go for it but current price of 42k is very high for me (https://www.amazon.in/Thrustmaster-Leather-Premium-Official-Racing/dp/B0151K6FPC)
I am tracking this product and can see it was on Amazon Lightening deals for 30K recently, and sold in Jan 2020 for 29K
But honestly I would prefer the peace of knowing that I have decent support services if required
The Thrustmaster TX Leather would be a good choice. It is currently on sale for 30k
I race on my Xbox mostly (my new gaming laptop arrives today!) and I use a Thrustmaster TX setup for Xbox. Works fine.
I got it on purpose because I can use it with Xbox and PC. Also, when you're ready you can upgrade to the TP3A Pro pedals. Plus with the expandability offered with the TM Sim Hub you can add slowly as your budget allows. That's if you go with the TX series or TS-XW base.

I think about the only thing you lose out on is the ability to change wheels. Regardless, it's a good starting point that you can turn around and sell for probably $100 if you decide you like using a rig and use that money for the upgrade to the better setup. This is a cost conscious way to get your feet wet without the risk of getting soaked trying to dump a $500 to $1000 rig if it's not for you.
Hope my opinions help! Good luck!
If I were you, I'd go with the Thrustmaster TX Leather Edition wheel. It comes with T3PA pedals (clutch, brake, gas) but you can always upgrade to the T3PA Pro version. For an H-shifter I'd once again recommend Thrustmaster's TH8A. It comes with 7 forwards gears and a reverse. Oh yeah, it also functions as a sequential shifter for rally games. For a cockpit, I'd go with Playseat.
This?

The TX is a better wheel that the 920, but you are right, the stock pedals blow. But fear not. Thrustmaster is starting to release updated bundles with the better rim and pedals. Check these two out. I promise you the TX is worth the little extra money you will need to spend over the 920. Check out the isrtv reviews if you need more confirmation.
