I really enjoy chewing on "Australian chewing sticks". Basically its a toothpick that was soaked in tea tree oil and other minty flavors.
Here is a link to them on amazon: Chewing sticks
Yeah they are dope. I guess the tea tree oil is a nice flavoring while you are getting an oral fix.
as /u/canomanom suggested try these. They com in a nice little case to carry them, are pretty rugged and have a good flavor.
These might help you cut down on the eating. The have a pleasant refreshing taste and considering there are about a 100 per pack they are pretty cheap.
As far as the irritability goes the only thing that has really helped me is exercise and accomplishing tasks. I've organized my storage space, assembled my tax documents, cleaned the utility room, fixed a bunch of my wife's broken jewelry etc.. Now it is the morning for me and I'm going for a run. The endorphin kick really helps me start the day right.
Stay strong. Don't smoke. You got this.
Yeah, it was a joke. I quit about 3 years ago and am very glad I did. For me getting over the nicotine addiction was the easy part, it's just the habit that's hard to break. These are what I used to help:
I'd just chew on one when I'd usually have a cigarette.
Fun fact:
He uses fancy Australian toothpicks made of birchwood & infused with tea tree oil.
I used these for the oral fixation and they were incredible
Anywhere to get these australian chewing sticks in Japan? Amazon of Japan's price is way too high.
i find that always having toothpicks to chew on like this instead of my nails works the best.
thank me later: chew sticks!
