So I always carry my make up with me in my carry on. I'm sorry, but I've seen bags get loaded onto a plane and I don't want my makeup shattered when I land. I would also recommend a brush roll to keep your brushes from being damaged.
This one is actually for paint brushes but it looks nice: Amazon brush roll
But depending on the amount of brushes you want to bring this might be better: Amazon brush case
Lastly, I always use a "train case" style makeup bag cause i find it easier to pack. I will usually pack my items with bigger packaging on the bottom first. I also recommend putting any eye/lip/brow pencils in the case with the brushes.
