huh, I thought they still had to do the public comment period, and that, unless something happens, it's legal after January 17th (one of my sources on this). Doesn't matter because I wouldn't be able to get this all setup before then anyway, lol.

Good info on the specifics of why we're not getting good weed here (even if it's gotten better as of late). Not that I was expecting craft stuff, but I wondered about the details. Goes to show that when a corporation doesn't have to compete, they're just going to do the bare minimum because it's going to sell anyways. I do have high hopes that things will get a lot better due to rec eventually coming, but I suppose that will depend on just how strict the growing/retail store restrictions will be.

How does that look? All in all, looking at about $260-290, depending on which grow light I go with. I'm only looking to grow 2-3 plants at one time, so I'm not sure if I'd need a bigger grow tent for that? Obviously, there will also be the soil, nutrients, pots, and something to inspect the trichromes with... But I'll try to figure out the details once I get the rest.

I'm planning on starting with Barney Farms' Mimosa x Orange Punch & Ayahuasca Purple. Not sure how beginning friendly they are, but the descriptions sound intriguing (and I love the orange & purple on them).

Just out of curiosity why don't you use a grow tent to put your grass in ?. That way you can keep your grass in the environment they like while keeping it self contained. All you need is a heating pad to add heat and then you can plug both your light into a timer so you can set your desired day/night cycle.

How big is closet? Is there a outlet in the closet and is there a way to exhaust? In an illegal country. I would like to lock the closet door. I see some recommend space buckets and they are cool. And I have no experience, so I don't want to project. But it may require more maintenance and technical know how. You may want to run it by him, See if he is capable of that growing style If not, you can get a little 2x2. If you get auto seeds for him. As for a light. Still lets keep it simple.

Sure there are some cheap ones on Amazon you can buy. And they can get the job done. But if you have a problem or need a replacement. That company maybe no where to be seen.

Again keeping it simple. Get him a super soil to grow in. That way all he has to do is just water from seed to bloom.

Now you will still need to get a thermometer/hydrometer, a fan or two, timer

Most important. Check the city water he's living in. MOst have that info online. If its just chlorine. All he has to do is leave the water for 24hrs for the chlorine to evaporate. IF it has chlorinemines. He will need a filter to clear it out. So he doesn't kill the plants.

Here is my grow light of choice which is the ledtonic Z5 Led grow light. No "blurple." This one runs on lower watts (around 130) and has a great PPFDand PPF rating. It will be efficient for this grow.

If you want to know more about LED lights dos and don'ts, this guy on youtube gives a decent rundown, and the comments in the product on amazon show good reviews.

The grow tent is 32×32×63, and will be just fine for maybe two plants. We may do an outdoor grow in addition to indoor, so there is a chance I'll start those ones in the tent as well.

I am nervous for this grow but also very excited. I'm germinating my seeds using my own body heat, which makes me feel somewhat more vested in this.

• if you want a carbon filter, any one should do. Here's a search of them in case you're feeling lazy.

I doubt you'll be able to fit 3 decent sized mature plants in that space, maybe 1 but you can always get a bigger tent! Anything else I can help you with?
