This seems like a robot hosted on the spot. And I have to honestly ask why a robot? I get the theme is to educate a robot to "escape" but it just seems so forced.

If this gets past a pilot I hope to go they change the voice of the robot. There is no reason RT should be using what sounds like the robot setting from this toy.

There are toy voice changers such as this that could be broken down and worked into a mask. Otherwise, there exist voice changer/auto tune apps for your phone, such as VOLOCO, which I found to be promising after a brief search. You could potentially wire a microphone and speaker into the mask near the mouth and hook them up to such an app.

They are fairly loud to be sure but not deafening. Where they really excel is in evil, irritating, robot, demon voice department.

Now if you want an insight to my own personal hell, you need to find a toy parrot that repeats everything you say. The reviews for the quality on this particular one on Amazon are mixed:

But I swear to God it will drive parents insane. Kids will say something and it repeats what they say (twice!) in a high-pitched mocking tone. Once they run out of words, they just yell at the bird. The bird yells back (twice). Some of them have a button/switch where the bird will just keep repeating the last phrase you saved in its memory.
