She doesn't use Bluetooth we already have one too maybe I need to gift something else. She has an amkette and philips radio right now. Philips radio is a decade old, thought of replacing that.
For the best setup you can get mesh router TP link has the most cheapest around 5k or get the Google wifi. I think you also need a AC 1200 at the least you will get okayish level of signals in 2 bhk depending on your house.

Thanks, but that doesn’t really explain why a high-end router says “10/100/1000.” Why does it have three numbers?
Also, I am buying a router with a maximum Ethernet speed of 100 Mbps (the Archer C50), but that’s just because I’m going to use it with one device exclusively, which doesn’t care about Internet speed (Quest 2).
I've the 100 Mbps package from ACT and I use this router. It supports both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz network bands so you'll get full speed when you're connected to the latter.
4k for a router is overkill IMO. If you live in a big house and are worried about coverage I would suggest you get 2 routers and set one of them as a repeater.
I have 2 routers in my home, 1 is MI 3C but I think it is now 4c - https://store.mi.com/in/item/3184300009
The other one I got from ACT for paying for 6 months - TP Link Archer C50 - https://www.amazon.in/TP-Link-Archer-C50-Wireless-Router/dp/B071RSD473/ref=sr\_1\_5?crid=2MKXI5NCINV50&keywords=tp+link&qid=1668149166&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0Ljk5IiwicXNhIjoiNC41MSIsInFzcCI6IjMuNzcifQ%3D%3D&s=electronics&sprefix=tp+lin...
It says the same 9v and 0.85 Amp
for reference this is the model I bought. I should've done this before my bad
Great guide!
I'm looking into wireless options. Can you tell me which tp-link wireless routar to buy. I found two that look almost identical to me. Which one to buy for 20ms latency?
Thanks in advance!
I don’t even have wired Internet. Just bought this router for US$44 (it’s more expensive on Amazon, which I linked to), and I have near-perfect VD and love it!
Ah, got it. So, could I just get a cheap router like this, connect it to my PC using an Ethernet cable, and connect my Quest 2 to the router? (Or would I need to get an access point or router with an access point feature?) Would I get a really good latency (less than 35 ms) from that, even if I don’t have the modem? Because the router would still have to connect wirelessly to my landlord’s router upstairs, wouldn’t it? Since I don’t have a modem or any Ethernet port in the walls?
Also, do you think it’s better for me to use a router rather than a PowerLine adapter like this? Someone else told me a router wouldn’t really work without a modem as it would be really finnicky, so I’m not sure what to believe.
Ah, man. I was thinking of either getting a cheap router like this one or even an expensive Wi-Fi 6 router like this one. As long as it works and lets me play on my Quest 2 wirelessly, streaming from my PC to my Quest on a 5 GHz network connected to Ethernet with no interruptions and no other devices connected, and it’s not too expensive, I’m happy. I just want a latency of 20–30 ms in games. Currently, via 5 GHz Wi-Fi only (no Ethernet, with the only router upstairs, albeit connected to a Wi-Fi extender my landlord has), I get a latency of 40–60, stuttering, and other issues.
I do already have two PowerLine adapters, but are you sure this might work? What’s the difference between Wi-Fi and PowerLine when the router is still in the floor above? I hope I’m not asking too many questions, but I just want to make the right choice here.
Well, definitely go for a router with 5GHz Band (Wi-Fi 802.11ac support). You will need them to use the full 100 mbps. There are decent Dual Band Routers under ₹2000.
And no, most Fiber Internet Connections don't require a Modem. The optic fibre cable they bring to your home directly connects to your Router (probably through PPPOE connection, they will give you a username & Password which is put to your router during setup)
Here one in your budget
Or maybe the cheaper C20
Hope this helps.
