Why add a bulky fake fluorescent? You may miss it being as recessed. I'd do a Kasa 16 million color strip Light

Can be bright but fully dimmable, clear white with adjustable color temp, great app and smart home integration if you want. "Hey Google, counter tangerine, 70%" We try to find colors it can't do - avocado and fuchsia work, doesn't do aubergine but does do eggplant... Plus it will do color changing animations for Christmas, etcetera and you can add extensions for $20

The lights themselves are kasa TP link led strips. One set come with 3 led strips and hub. I bought 2 of these and then bought extra extension strips so that there is 8 strips on each side (16 total). But I recommend LIFX strips over these just because they have a better app features.
