Thanks a million for the reply! I definitely want to move to pfsense some time, but for the time being I think that I'll just stick with the Huawei AX3. I saw that allot of online reviews said that the OC200 cost +-$85, yet currently on Amazon its going for about $99. It's not that big a deal, but I'm curious if this has something to do with the chip shortage/COVID.
I might purchase something like this for $69.99. If I realise that I need more ports, I can just plug in an unmanaged 8 or 5 port switch, right?
Thanks for checking! Hmmm... then I should get Omada switch instead. I wish there are cheaper options. SG2008 is the cheapest one I could find.
You can grab an Omada integrated switch for $49 at this Amazon link TP-Link TL-SG2008 V3 | 8 Port Gigabit Smart Managed switch | Omada SDN Integrated | IPv6 | Static Routing | L2/L3/L4 QoS, IGMP & Link Aggregation | Limited Lifetime Protection | Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TR19PTD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_6ZSGGHGQYJWCN1G1JS5C
Thank you for the reply. I have the TL-SG2008 managed switch and it says that it is compatible with the Omada Controller. I think my life would will be easier now that I know I need to use my managed switch. This was very helpful.
Is it best to configure network devices before they are connected to each other or when they are all connected?

Amazon is telling me May 6 - 11th for delivery ? Give me a message after that and I'll let you know what I actually got if anything.
Try this link to amazon - should work I took my ref number off

Good luck out there.
Seems like this switch should do the trick yeah? I’m okay with spending $50 on this versus learning a pihole from scratch or spending a few hundred on a new WiFi 6 gigabit router and modem.
