AHhh ok ok. Thanks for the info. I've literally never even seen a synology nas in person so this is really helpful.
I'll see what I can find for the bracket- should be universal or is there a specific bracket I need?
Also , in terms of 10g switches, I found this which I think maybe the best value I can find.
You probably don't need to replace your CAT5(e?) wall cables. Your fiber service will probably only be 2.5Gb-5Gb, unless you have Google Fiber which is going to offer 8Gb soon. Even CAT5e can do 10Gb at 50-100ft.
Here's an affordable 10Gb switch https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-TL-SG105-M2-Multi-Gigabit-Wall-Mount-Protection/dp/B09CYNHL4S/
You're right, that is really inexpensive compared to just a few years ago. I will keep that in mind for the future if I have a switch that supports SFP+, currently, I use this one.
For twice the price, you can find 10GbE switches (10GbE has been around for a decade longer than 2.5GbE and 5GbE) and even multi-gig 2.5/5/10 like this one:

To make your life easier, getting a multi-gig unmanaged switch is probably the path with least resistance: https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-TL-SG105-M2-Multi-Gigabit-Wall-Mount-Protection/dp/B09CYNHL4S/
