Doesn’t get better than this pairing for mobile gmrs. Perfect swr 1:1 and the price is right compared to other goofy options.

The Nagoya UT-72 isn’t tuned for GMRS and won’t work as well as a GMRS specific antenna will. You want a NMO style mount with a GMRS specific antenna. This combo has worked great for me with a 1.2:1swr. Needs a metal roof or hood to stick to though.

If your not worried about overhead clearance in the countryside this midland NMO antenna has worked great too, but often not needed as the 1/4wave tram gets the job done.
