Gear sellers on Amazon are fast and loose when it comes to calling something 'lightweight'.
It's probably fine for what it is. Says it's pre-waterproofed with silicone, which isn't anything fancy but a matter of convenience (I do that to tents as a matter of course). But for the weight and features it looks roughly comparable to a Coleman-style tent you'd find at any big box retailer, and for a similar price (at least on the left side of the pond).
If you're only attracted because of the price, check out the River Country Products trekking pole tent: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07537XGKQ/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_rWFbBbH2DYHTY
I bought this a few months ago. It's currently on sale for crazy low because it's not available again until June, and they've upgraded it to lightweight aluminum stakes since I bought it (I had to buy those separately) which puts the weight at 2 lbs and some change (roughly a kilo). It doesn't come with poles though - it's designed to be used with trekking poles or sticks you find (or poles you add yourself).
Don't know what shipping to the UK would run you, but the thing is so cheap right now it's probably worth it. I found it because I'm a tall dude who was tired of dome style tents - my head is always at the edge of the tent so the walls slope a few inches above my face - and I wanted something with vertical side walls; then I noticed how lightweight it was, and I think I have accidentally discovered the best deal in lightweight tents out there right now.
Thought about posting about it here or/and at /r/ultralight, but there's so much spam here, I didn't want to be accused of being a spammer. :(
I'd love to be able to recommend good cheap gear I've found without feeling like a corporate whore.
A little late to this post, but in all seriousness, I LOVE my tent. Extremely lightweight and has not failed me once, and very cheap! The only weather I haven’t tested it in is snow, nor do I plan too, but a great 3 season tent. I have waterproof sprayed it after each 2 rainy adventures just to stay safe.

I can’t speak for that tent, but if you don’t like it, I can highly recommend this one! Used it on all my backpacking adventures so far and zero downfalls!

This is the closest thing I’ve gotten. It’s two person so it’s bigger but very little airflow from door gap or mesh. I used it recently in 20*f weather and was so warm I stripped down to my underwear and half unzipped my sleeping bag to sleep. After a week of freezing while cowboy camping, it was great.

I have one of these even though I've only used it once. Quality feels amazing compared to some shit like a coleman...Homemade Wanderlust on YouTube reviewed one and liked it.
I ordered directly from the manufacturer tho. I just pulled up the quickest link.
We are in Texas so i think that will help in some aspects. It can get cold but the "comfortable" temp zones will be around a fair bit this fall.
This is the tent ive been leaning towards. Not full on tarp only but light enough to get the job done and with good reviews. Affordable enough to not hurt too much.

Anyone have any experiences with the Trekker Tent2 on amazon? At 62" wide and 44oz, it's as large as some advertised 3p tents and pretty darn cheap. Design seems fine, and at $44 it is by miles the cheaper enclosed single wall option. Could be an interesting 2p shoestring option.
i have a budget of $100 at most, but im wanting to only spend $60 to $80 on a tent. keep in mind i just want something that could last me a while that is compact. i also saw this tent, which i perfer. https://www.amazon.com/Trekking-Ultralight-Backpacking-Person-Weather/dp/B07537XGKQ/ref=pd_sbs_468_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=Q2MPXP7PWRPMTBJJKAZQ

You're probably MUCH MORE rugged than I am ( what can I say, I am nearing 40 and a bit bougie at times lol ) but I bought this budget friendly tent for my go bag. It is super small and fairly lightweight. I'm going for a 3 day hike in a few weeks to test it out. What I really like about it is that it only takes my hiking poles or some branches to set up. I don't have to fuss with those dang bungee poles that have the potential to snap thus creating a bad night for me and my doggos. There are some much smaller/lighter tent options out there but I didn't want to spend a fortune on something for my bob. I see a lot of ultralight hikers use hammock tents. Seeing as how you stated this is more of a bob for the woods, you'd have PLENTY of trees to do something like that. Here's one I found on Amazon. To me it is on the heavy side weighing in at 4lbs but you get the idea.
RemindMe! 1 month "follow up with tragoh about bob tent"
This is inexpensive and it was great for me on a 2 night backpacking trip.

This tent is great, haven't tested it in the winter yet but I have no doubts with a proper mat and bag you'd be fine. If wind/cold is a concern I would reccomend the first gen version which is what I have. 2nd gen has large ventilation cutouts.
