This all seems to be non-knowing of the 5 modes of sentience, and their consequences.
Researchers Logan, King, & Fischer-Wright discovered that there are 5 distinct modes ( which they wrongly call stages. caterpillar is a stage: you can't go back from butterfly to carpillar ) and wrote the important, but misnamed book "Tribal Leadership" ( several books have that title: check the authors )
Conspiracism is mode-2 sentience, lashing-out ( inmates, mass-shootings, etc ) is mode-1.
They've been kept in mode-2 for a full generation, or more, and trump ordered them to not vote in 2024, which guarantees they are going to be in mode-1.
Expect a tsunami of mass-shootings in the months following that election, no matter who wins.
Mode-4 is "We Are Awesome!" mode, which is the mode a population needs to be living-in to be truly thriving.
