Tribesigns Computer Desk, 55" Large Office Desk Computer Table Study Writing Desk for Home Office, Black + Black Leg [link]
I linked it before with my thoughts. Essentially I highly recommend it if 55” is enough for you. Check the other comment for downsides/positives
Has anyone ever had to shop for a 20" deep/wide desk? I'm trying to find one that's about 50-54" long, but it's next to impossible to find one at that length that's not 24" deep or more; I'd like to find one that's basic and black, too, which compounds the issue even further.
Something that's akin to this that wasn't 23.6" deep would hit the spot, so I'm hoping someone here might've had to buy a desk of that size, themselves, and can point me towards a good place to find them. I feel like I've spent hours upon hours over the last month trying to find something! I'd be nice if more sites had an easier way to filter results.
thought about the butcherblock.. but stuff like that doesn't come treated. I didn't have the time/space to do all that. I wasn't confident that the ikea top was going to support my tower to well. I noticed my, then, glass desk had a tiny bow in it.. so I was eager to find a replacement.
I bought a Tribesigns desk.
It felt silly to buy a piece of wood sturdy enough to hold a computer, cut it, stain it, wax or otherwise protect it for more than buying this desk. The frame is metal The top is covered in a vinyl but is like a sturdy hybrid/mesh concoction. The sides can scrape easily if you're not careful.
years ago, a roommate and I just installed a kitchen countertop formica.. a 18' long one. Was a little tacky, but it worked and best of all, it was cheap.

I bought me a new desk on Amazon since my old desk was starting to age a bit, and I decided to go big. I don't have a lot of space to work with in my small room so I couldn't get whatever desk I want (although that would be cool). Overall, I think it turned out pretty well and I'm happy with it.

I also got me some cable management gear such as a cable raceway, some cable hooks, and some doubled sided tape for the single power brick I have. I feel like the cable management isn't as good as it can be, but oh well. It's a lot better than before, and it's so much better than not having a cable raceway.
I got it from Amazon as well.
Pretty cheap compared to a lot of similar desks on Amazon, and I'm liking the look and the build quality. Feels really sturdy, and took about 20 minutes to assemble.
I's pretty sure it's the Tribesigns 55inch desk off Amazon [link]
I have it in the lighter wood color, it really is a great desk
This is a good plain desk here it comes in 47, 55, or 63 inch widths. The one downside is that it's not very deep (~23 inches)
I got this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XVQJSCL/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1.
Inexpensive, good amount of space, easy to put together, simple aesthetic.
Thanks! The desk was pretty cheap from Amazon, really easy to put together too and it looks sweet:
The only bad side is that there is a metal beam running down the back, so not all "desk clamp" monitor arms can fit on it.
This one from Amazon:
It's been great. It was inexpensive and super easy to put together. a decent amount of space. The only downside is that it has a metal beam running on the bottom at the back, so you can't mount some of the "desk clamp" mounts to it.
I'm sure there a bunch out there you can find. Next upgrade will probably be the desk. This one is sturdy though with the metal support beams underneath.
idk if youll like it or if its too cheap for you, but this desk is very strong and sturdy and I love it. and without spending more than $[link]
