Try a tub shroom. Most stoppers need something to screw into, which you don't have. This system is stand alone and fits in most tub drain sizes. I bought one when I couldn't find a stopper to fit my drain, and it did a great job of catching hair or anything else that might block your pipes.

You should opt for a drain filter instead. You may want to invest in a tubshroom. Makes it easier to periodically clean the drain instead of waiting for the massive clog down in the pipes.

I use a tubshroom. My wife’s hair is like kryptonite to drains and this thing has actually kept me from snaking it for over 3 years. Remove the cap that’s on there and try it out. Seriously it’s the best.

Get one of those zip tie drain cleaning thingamajigs and clean out the drain. Make sure you have a trash bin in the shower to immediately throw it away... And for when you start gaging from the stench. Then install a tub shroom or shower shroom so you never have to deal with something quite as disgusting again.
