I'm using the Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 450 works perfectly For the Switch. That's also my main headset for PC gaming :)
want to preface with not really looking for super high quality stuff. looking for comfort mostly, and wireless headset are really clutter free. from what ive read in the headphones community, those are two things really frowned upon, but i dont really feel like im looking for super duper high quality stuff ya know? still would like a recommendation to see what you guys think.
currently using turtle beach stealth 450, i really like it, but i cracked the arm, so looking to replace it before it breaks completely.
https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Force-Stealth-discontinued/dp/B00ZC3S72I it was $150 as a gift 1.5 years ago, and i wouldnt feel bad buying the same ones again for $90 bucks, but just wanted see if i could get something for better value, maybe with better build quality? didnt drop it or anything, so not sure how, or when it broke.
Budget - $100~ could push more if i see value
Source - desktop
Requirements for Isolation - some would be nice, but no strict requirement here
Will you be using these Headphones in Public? nope, only at home
Preferred Type of Headphone - over ear
Preferred tonal balance - dunno
Past headphones - covered above
Preferred Music - mostly using for gamging and voice comms, not really looking to listen to music
What would you like to improve on from your set-up - not unhappy perse, just seeing if i could get something better for around the same price range.
The G933's I'm using haven't been too bad - really the 2 biggest gripes I have are that I can't seem to charge them while using them (they restart every 5 minutes if I do this, even if the battery is full...) and that when I first turn on the headset, I have to manually pair them to the receiver. That said, if you're not all that worried about lighting and whatnot, the pair of headphones I had before, Turtle Beach's Stealth 450's were awesome. 15 hour battery life (I often only got about 12 to 14 hours), I could charge and use them at the same time, they still have the Sidetone feature (being able to hear yourself with whatever you're listening to), easy 40 foot wireless range, they sounded pretty great, and were fairly priced considering the average price of wireless headsets. If my G933's were to die in the near future, I'd honestly probably pick up another pair of the Stealth 450's.
I'm using a Turtle Beach ear force stealth 450 wireless headset.

Before I used cabled high-end studio headphones (Bayerdynamic DT770 Pro). It 's wonderful to be free of any sorts of additional cords. It's a big plus being able to just take of the headphones and put them to the side when you just want to get out of VR for a short interruption. They're affordable and the sound quality is absolutely decent enough for (VR) gaming. It also fits pretty tight - but not too tight so it doesn't fling of your head from some more involved motions but also stays comfortable.
Additionally you can use the mic instead of the Vive mic which will help other players in multiplayer games hearing your heavy breathing. It also has a mute button for the mic on the side so you can easily mute yourself completely like that. The mic is detachable so if you wan to make it more minimalistic during single player sessions you can take that of as well.
Personally I did not encounter any of the issues people mention on the amazon reviews.
I have a pair of Turtle Beach Ear Force 450s.
A little tight and a pain to pair, but reasonable quality sound and imperceptible latency. Unless the headphones are integrated like the Rift CV1, I prefer wireless for convenience and ease of use.
i dunno much about headsets honestly i just got these http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Wireless-Headphone-Surround/dp/B00ZC3S72I?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01
same ones tribal guy uses for his Vive and i love them so far
I'm using Turtle Beach Stealth 450 and it works great. I mainly got them for PC gaming because they're wireless USB, but they also have an audio in port that works for the quest.

Yeah mate, something like the Turtle Beach Stealth 450
As for where you get them - no idea what country you're in, so just look at stores, or Amazon I guess...
Just got this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZC3S72I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I like it a lot.
I have this Turtle Beach wireless headset and it's quite good. I managed to find a Warehouse Deal for $67, fortunately.

Just a little spendy for my blood. I wish there was a good $50 solution. I'm not a huge audiophile and just want something light and easy to work with the Vive.
I bought my first wireless headset last year
These specific ones are discontinued now but if I had to upgrade I'd go for the newer models like the 800 series, can get a little pricey though.
I've always been a fan of Turtle Beach and the detachable mic is nice too as you can just use them for movies/music too.
