Moi j'ai une merdouille TurtleBeach à 35 balles pour parler avec les copains sur Xbox les rares fois ou on joues.

Ça fait juste le job depuis 2 ans.
Tu peux le garder des heures sans gêne, couper le micro en le remettant à la verticale, régler le volume avec une molette, j'en demande pas plus.
C'est que du plastoque mais pas parti en lambeaux ni cassé, l'audio du casque est correct, il repisse un peu dans le micro faut faire gaffe aux réglages.

Thanks for the info. I will for sure try better headphones to see if that works. As a side note when the mic is muted the static does go away. Sometimes the static is persistently in the background while other times it only comes when I speak in the mic.

Turtle Beach makes some decent cheap headsets that just plug into your controller via the 3.5mm headphone jack. These can also give you game sound through the headset if you want.

Turtle beach headsets are IMO really good and mine has lasted me 3 years now. This wireless one specifically I use still $79.00

Also to mute the mic without flipping he would need something like this to pick up game volume, chat volume and mute the mic. I'm sure theirs a cheaper one, but this is what i used, so i know it works 39.00 you can maybe find cheaper ones

The keyword is most. Most USB headsets will pull audio from the dock. A much smaller number work with the built in microphone, unfortunately. And due to the influx of cheap off-brand headsets there is no definitive list.

If you want it guaranteed to work, shoot for a USB headset built for use with the Switch (ala Steelseries Arctis) or use the 3.5mm jack on the top of the system.
