Buy a couple of Ubiquiti bridges; we use them all the time. Set one as access point and the other one as client; super easy to set up and fairly secure.
They need to be pointing to each other with a clear line of sight.
you need a wireless bridge. I just found these on amazon, I am not recommending any specific models because I have not used them before.

Thanks for your response!Would something like this work also? Half the price of your example.
I have to agree 100% with Bear9. It would be very helpful for you to invest an hour or two reading past threads, especially the Install flair's.
There are a lot of little things that are super helpful scattered thru past threads.
As for the link between the barn & house, for someone who is less techie, this 'kit' is preconfigured to wirelessly link to barn

No. The speed of your connection doesn't speed up your wifi. Think of it as a road, and the entire trip has to go the speed of the slowest segment. Your wifi link is the slowest segment
You could get ubiquiti or tp-link point-to-point gear
that would probably be a much more reliable wireless link between the two locations.
I swear one day I’ll get a referral link for this hahahaha. https://www.amazon.com/Ubiquiti-LocoM5-Complete-Pre-Configured-Nanostation/dp/B06XKPCGH8
Then hook up your dads side to a switch and you’re all set.
