Just used this same one for a backpacking trip. Worked great and grilling on it was super nice after enough coals accumulated. 10/10 would recommend if you need something light.
Edit: it might be cheaper on Amazon
UCO Flatpack Portable Stainless Steel Grill and Fire Pit here
I have one of these, works well for the size, though its a little annoying that standard wood lengths like you’d find at a store are too long. If that’s your wood source, would recommend cutting lengths in half before leaving.
This little camp grill was awesome last season and I am looking forward to it cooling off down here in Texas so I can bring it out again.

I have either this exact one or something very similar. I would say it’s definitely more suitable for grilling than a fire pit which it’s also marketed as. Here’s the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HZF9FMG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_TR47ZHZMWCTDFFVPWC68?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

This one looks to be the correct size and has real pictures to show the size and use. Probably something very similar to this.
There are 25 pages of "camping grills" on amazon
this one is very misleading while they didn't bother with as much terrible photoshop, the dimensions in one picture really call into question the other pictures, especially the one with food on it. They are grilling cocktail sausages and mini steaks maybe.
I happen to own a KLR650 owner and am an avid moto-camper, however I do agree with the post advocating to let him make his choices. Either that or buy somewhere that offer free returns.
I personally have several different tents depending on what kind of trip (how long, weather) and what bike I'm taking. Same with cooking gear. Also, how tall or big is he may play a role in tent size or at least height of interior (ease of getting dressed/undressed).
I love this and even use it at home, it folds flat about the size and thickness of a magazine and has a canvas carry case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HZF9FMG
I use these as a cutting board and plate, they're very flexible/light: https://www.amazon.com/Flexible-Plastic-Cutting-Colorful-Kitchen/dp/B01HN7ZGUQ
Coffee? I use this at home too cuz it makes better tasting coffee that my coffee pot: https://aeropress.com/products/aeropress-go-travel-coffee-press

I’m a big fan of these. Have used for years with charcoal.
