I would say DK books, like this or this. They are informative and have cool facts, but aren't super in-depth like the Complete Encyclopedia.

They are, but they all did so on good terms, hence why the Jedi sculpted bronze busts of them which they displayed in the Archives.

Phanius was one of the earliest members of the group in the Legends continuity, he became Darth Ruin much later, as far as Canon is concerned he never existed.

Krell never formally left the Order, he was still a member of the Order, at least publicly, at the time he was killed.

The bit about Vader being number 21 comes from the Legends continuity.

There will never be an ultimate collection, because SW wont stop the next decades/centuries...

But'ultimate'/'complete' sells better than 'nearly complete'...
