Years ago I got a game with full disc rental sticker. My issue with it wasnt the look but rather one corner of the sticker started to peel up and it stuck up so much that it would make it un playable.
So what I did was put the disc on a soft cloth to not scratch the disc. Then I got a bottle of Un-Du https://www.amazon.com/Original-Formula-Sticker-Remover-California/dp/B003TZQPTS
I then wetted the head of a qtip with the stuff. Then I grabbed the corner of the sticker and slowly started to peel it off. while I peeled I just rubbed the wet qtip head where the sticker meets the disc then just slowly peel the sticker while I rub it with un-du
I got it up with no damage and no sticker residue but I think I was lucky because the sticker used might have had weak glue and it was old.
1.If you have stains on light color fabric, soak them overnight in Biz or Oxyclean diluted in hot water. Rinse them completely. If there is still dark stain, repeat. If still a minor stain, lay the object outside in the direct sunlight for all day.
Don't make piles of things you've sorted. Touch things once, twice max after it's clean or you're finished with it. Piles are overwhelming and just get disorganized and then you put it off longer. It helps you get your steps in if you walk each thing away at the time.
Everything left on the floor goes into a large hamper or clean garbage bin and stays there until the end of the week when it can be retrieved and put away. No sneaking things out of the bin midweek. Learn to put away or learn to go without until the weekend.
Use old socks to dust. Sprinkle or spray oil on the sock, the wipe. You can reach easily where you need to.
Un-du will get sticky residue, price tags etc off anything. It's amazing and leaves no weird scent or residue. It's terrific!
Do not do that.
Buy a small bottle of Un-Du. Use that, but DON’T use it from the bottle—put some on a q-tip and carefully dab that on the sticker. Wait awhile, like 10 minutes, then gently, slowly, and carefully work the edge of a credit card under a corner of the sticker, and keep at it until the sticker comes off. Don’t worry about the Un-du getting on the paper—it won’t hurt it, it won’t smell, and it will dry quickly.
You can use it with a soft cloth to remove those other blemishes and the reside in the upper right corner, too.
There’s a scraper integrated into the bottle; remove and use that instead of a credit card for best results.
I’ve tried everything for removing these and the best solution I’ve found is a formula called Un-Do which is designed for this specific purpose (removing stickers off artwork without damaging the art).
I’ve used it for a ton of these yellow spine stickers as well as vinyl record price stickers and it’s always worked perfectly. Better than lighter fluid and goo gone for sure. The heat approach with a hair dryer does work, but on some stickers it seems to do nothing, and you gotta be a bit careful not to run it too hot.

I just use a few drops on the sticker, wait to where it starts evaporating, use a few more, start peeling with a fingernail to where I can pinch it with my fingers and lift, and if I encounter some resistance, put another drop and let it fall between the sticker that I'm peeling and the surface. Put some on a paper towel after and wipe the rest away.

I would narrow the sleeve opening, yes. You might be able to remove more of the glue by laying a scrap of fabric over the area and steaming it to melt the glue, then pull off the scrap. Repeat with fresh scraps. That might be enough to work for you or it might not. I've read that alcohol will work to dissolve the glue but it hasn't for me. I've also read that this adhesive solvent can remove residue from fabric but I haven't tried it.
Un-Du. It takes an extremely small amount and doesn't leave a residue of any kind. I have had the same bottle for 7+ years
Unless you’re in California, order some Un-Du sticker, tape, and label remover. It works amazingly well, and unlike Goo Gone it really doesn’t have an odor. There just isn’t a better, safer solution for removing tape/sticker residue (or even entire labels).
Also, in my experience, you can use it on practically any deck without fear of it discoloring or damaging it. (No guarantee though—there may always be an exception I’m unaware of).
I use undu https://smile.amazon.com/Original-Formula-Sticker-Remover-California/dp/B003TZQPTS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=undu+adhesive+remover&qid=1574079560&sprefix=undu&sr=8-1, and find it works great. You still have the adhesive to deal with though.
Gasoline will take that sticky off - or acetone - or this stuff called "undo" (I use it often in my job (art framing) to take off carelessly placed adhesive residue. it works well with a little scrub, I'll find a link for you.

I am a less than perfect paper crafter. This is what I use to lift things that have been stuck down with adhesive. Un Du
Un-Du is the best working stuff that I’ve found Doesn’t leave an oily residue like googone or wd40, just evaporates.

If that is mostly adhesive, you could try this. It’s amazing at removing adhesive.
Use un-du to remove the sticker without causing damage. This stuff will keep the adhesive intact so you can reuse the sticker.

Try this magnificent product: https://www.un-du.com/
I use this everywhere to remove stickers and sticky stuff, and it works great. I prefer it over Goo Gone because it's not oily. It's good for scrap books and stuff because it dries quick, you can reuse the stickers, and won't affect anything around it.
PC repairman here... This is what most shops I know use. Works great. Comes with its own scraping tool and if you let the sticker dry you can reuse it.
I'd like to add these recommendations:
http://www.amazon.com/Notions-In-Network-01004-20-Remover-4oz/dp/B003TZQPTS
http://www.amazon.com/CRC-Freeze-Liquefied-Aerosol-Trigger/dp/B000ICBP68
The Un-Du adhesive remover is non-acidic and won't stain paper or damage box print, and the freezing spray will let you detach a lot of stickers in one piece, adhesive and all. Many of them can even be re-stuck when they thaw, making it possible to do stuff like transfer the occasional desirable sticker from one box to another, etc.
