Dispute what all the news outlets reported, “Jetpack Man” wasn’t all that close to LAX airport, but after reviewing some of the videos, I noticed Catalina Island in the background.
Catalina Island has a long history of mysterious reports and sightings, so I’ll post some links for those unaware. This is very close to where the tic tac Nimitz incident happened.

After seeing this board after the last couple of days I thought this post would spark some conversation. IMO it's NOT a dude with a jetpack.
It is a popular location for much activity from many different witnesses. I believe it is not far from where the Nimitz Tic Tac incident took place. The island's area was also mentioned in Project Blue Book and has been discussed in numerous interviews. There appears to be at least one book on the topic.
There's also a particular underwater object know as Sycamore Knoll which has caught some people's interests. At least one geologic study inference for this particular object is here.
