Therapists are super trial and error. Most of them that are “talk therapists” only give a little for what you put in. Find one that specializes in CBT. A lot will say they do, but don’t practice it. Keep going. And if not, psycho education has helped me more than anything. The host of The Panic Pod has also written two books on anxiety that are excellent. They spell things out very simply and the writing style is gentle. I don’t know about you, but when my anxiety was at its worst I didn’t have the brain power to read anything that was written in an academic style. Had to be easy and direct.
