These worked really well for me. I ran all of my cables (except for pc) down the back of my monitor mount, then through the j channels; anything that had to go beyond that is Velcro’d or zip-tied to the back of a desk leg so it’s not visible
Excellent!
Suggesting to make it even neater? These channels were super cheap and worked great for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q8QN5CB/
Paired with some double sided tape (it comes with thick gel-based double sided tape, not cheap scotch-tape) and you can hide them even more effectively.
No problem, a lot of people get j channels from Amazon so if you wanted to go that route here’s a link:

I use a cable runway like this. No holes and No complaints.
I purchased one of these cable raceway to stick underneath the desk.

Run the wires for the monitor up behind the monitor mount arm. Run an additional power cord up behind the side of the desk and put a power strip up there hidden behind something to power the max mini and the synology.
A usb hub might tidy up some of the wires too. Amazon also has channeling that you can run wires through. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q8QN5CB?pd_rd_i=B07Q8QN5CB&pd_rd_w=pOnYv&pf_rd_p=c9f54957-dab8-433b-b0f6-02bde7ccae59&pd_rd_wg=LE91l&pf_rd_r=FD3Q82N6H0DH7JCGF4G6&pd_rd_r=b6b9e4fc-0f66-424b-9680-c1b4007bf0b2

I used this for cable management, the double sided tape it comes with is really strong, I used it to put a power bar underneath my desk and all my wires plug into it
I kind of like these cheap raceway pieces, there's enough space in them that I can cram most of the mess behind my desk inside them. I don't do it for style though, just to keep me from getting a foot tangled up

Raceway cable management. I have these they work great. If you look for em on Amazon there should be a bunch of alternate designs and materials but same idea
I found that these cable management organizers from Amazon did a wonderful job at organizing and hiding excess cable. They come in a variety of colours. They include double sided tape which has held up very well

this shit saved me from wire hell.
This is what I use under my desk for cable management. Works like a charm.
I use two of these cable racewayss to hold and hide most of the cables under the desk.
Brother those CABLES.
Here are a few things on Amazon that could assist with cleaning those bad boys up:
Your set up is good as is, but would be elevated into the freaking sky if you got rid of that spaghetti. Use the tape to mount your surge protector on the bottom of you desk and route stuff through the trays and it'll improve so much.
I found the easiest way was to get some J channel and trace the path a cable will take with some string, measure it out then buy the closest length of cable or an extension if it's not replaceable. If your HDMI run is 14FT 3IN then get a 15FT cord as it'll be easier to hide the extra 9IN over say the 5FT 9IN of a 20FT cord. If your monitor has a power brick with a replaceable power cord that after routing through the channelling is 3IN away from the surge protector without that power cord, tape it up under the desk with some 3M tape and get a 6IN power cord to finish off the run and pin it up with a single cable clip. The less excess you have to hide the easier it is.
"J channel" https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q8QN5CB
I've had good success with these too
You may be looking for something like a J-channel, or possibly just adhesive mounts. It's nice to have a hairdryer around when you remove these, depending on the adhesive it may try to take the wall with it. Heat helps weaken that bond.
A link to another comment i made recently, just for good measure
This is what I use: Cable Tray
I have the exact same desk for my set up and I use something similar to this for everything that runs to the power outlet hanged behing one of the drawers
So for my desk, I bought double sided tape, this cable tray on Amazon that sticks to the upper backside (so no cables are visible below). I also bought these small cable guiders that are on the back side of the legs of the desk, and then I just have the cables follow the contour of the desk so none are visible.
I also ended up having to buy two 10ft HDMI cables for my monitors, as my originals were to short to follow along the contour of the desk.
For the TV I just bought these standard white cable concealer panels.
i’m a renter and use these cable raceways that can be attached to the bottom of your desk or to the wall with mounting tape - no damage if you remove them carefully!
Remove any wires you don't need. I see a ton of cables behind that monitor but it doesn't seem to match up with the number of devices I see.
Get a set of these. Use the included double sided tape (it's not like thin scotch tape, it's thick gel-based tape and extremely strong) to tape them to the underside of your desk (with the opening facing the wall. Run as many cables as you can through that.
Routing equipment; if you've got any routing equipment or smart hub stuff, get it off your desk. It doesn't need to be there. Use the cable managers in Step #2 to run them to somewhere else, or better yet, use double sided tape to tape them upside down on the underside of your desk.
Use Velcro ties to bundle cables wherever possible. My personal favorites are the Monoprice ones. For any cables that are longer than you need, coil them and velcro the coil. Use the cable channels to squish the excess length into them.
Lift up that monitor and thoroughly wipe down the whole table (Windex will work great). That many cables suggests you haven't cleaned/dusted in a while...your nose and lungs will thank you. Sam me thing with the carpet under the desk, vacuum it up.
Sorry for the late response, but no, it wouldn't, if you put them as close to the back of the bottom-side of the desk as possible.
You can either put these on the back of the desk that touches the wall, or you can put them flat under the underside of the desk. Use double-sided <em>gel</em> tape, not scotch tape, and it'll hold forever.
Even if you could see a tiny bit of those black channels if you were looking at the desk at just the right angle, it would looks 10x better than it does now.
u/OP This is Dell D-6000 Docking Station. If you would like a cleaner desk presentation and have access to a 3D printer try a simple print like this, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2905745, to move the dock off the desk. A cable raceway would hide the cables shown in your image. You could get a plastic raceway with an adhesive backing to mount to the wall or use a simple cloth raceway. Alternatively, you could get a under desk cage to hold any spare wires that hang underneath the desk. Hope these ideas help.
Cheers!
These will save you: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q8QN5CB/
I have some and they work really well. I didn't use the tape that came with it, and instead got this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Z1JNT5M/
It is insanely strong. It feels like it's cemented to the underside my desk...I have a solid wood desk and I almost feel like I could turn my desk upside down and lift the table top by the cable manager.
This is incredibly straight forward and can be fixed with 4 very cheap/free steps:
If that's a Logitech 5.1 surround system, remove the rear channel speakers altogether. Unless you have placed the rear left and rear right speakers actually behind where you're sitting (unlikely based on what I see in your setup), those speakers are doing nothing for you and you might as well put them back in the box. That will cut down on two wires already.
For cables that must run the length of the underside of the table, get a pack of these and stick em on the underside of the desk. This will get those cables up off the floor. Make sure the opening on those channels faces the wall, and not you, when you do this.
Cable ties; get some good quality precut cable ties (I personally love these) and start bunch up the cables every 4 to 5 inches, nice and tight. Especially the ones going right behind your desk.
If that's a USB dock that you have connected to that laptop, consider instead using double-sided tape and placing that dock on the underside of your desk. Have the cable that connects to your laptop be the only cable coming up and over the edge of the desk. To really polish the look, you can get a solid metal vertical laptop stand to hold your laptop up (and get even more desk space).
Not gonna lie, I thought your desk was falling down cuz of the slanted picture. I'd personally have the tower on the other side of the desk, it would make the space feel more open. Also, for cable management, you could get a cable tray for underneath your desk. Here are a few options that I found on amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Updated-Channel-Cable-Raceway-Management/dp/B07Q8QN5CB/
https://www.amazon.com/Under-Desk-Cable-Management-Tray/dp/B07HMXBSLW/
https://www.amazon.com/Monoprice-Under-Desk-Cable-Tray/dp/B07H48SY8G/
(just a few re-arrangement ideas)
If the case has glass on the left side, one way would be putting the case flush against the wall, so the glass is facing outward, and then having a monitor cover the cables. And if you end up getting a 2nd monitor, just extend the chain.
A lot of Velcro ties, cable raceways (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q8QN5CB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_ESSK3BZ1H42SNW8Q8X3R?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1), this cable management tube (https://www.officedepot.com/a/products/8164202/Ativa-Cable-Management-Tube-Black/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&&gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjPaCBhDkARIsAISZN7RJSycTgN6chCc4GySSZbDGYfil5IOi78AABxvoQT9KWf4Ycd3DER8aAsShEALw_wcB&...), Gorilla tape to hold power strip & power bricks on bottom of the desk under the monitor stand, and a LOT of patience.
I think that a tape for the power cord itself isn't an option as the cord needs some support. If you use any kind of 3M double-sided tape (that's the one I use, anyways) with a cable support like a rail or something that encoses it (i.e. https://www.amazon.com/Updated-Channel-Cable-Raceway-Management/dp/B07Q8QN5CB or https://www.amazon.com/Management-Sleeve-JOTO-Computer-Entertainment/dp/B015HWXG4M ) it could be better I guess. It also depends on your desk's material... mine is laurel wood, so no tape would stick to it unfortunately :/ I had to use the iron bars under it instead.
Used these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q8QN5CB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Really easy to work with.
I just got these the reviews seem good but I haven't put them up yet
Updated 94" J Channel Cable... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q8QN5CB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share just tape them underneath and shove the wires in
I got these raceways below, very easy to setup and no issues: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q8QN5CB/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
these are a life-saver, I got them and a few other wire-management things (zip ties, clips) and now you can't see any wires!
