I just spent a glorious extended weekend in White Mountains, but more on that later.
About day 3 it was time to recharge my inReach Mini, however my Chafron 6-in-1 cable would not hold the connection to charge it unless I babied it and held it carefully. So I ordered this new one the Zeus-X Pro 6-in-1, turns out the weight is the same at 30g but the build is far more robust. The small Chafron was nice and compact, but compact doesnt cut it when it fails. To that end I always have a 1' Anker usb-c to lightning for actually charging the phone off the battery IMO these multicables are simply not rugged enough for on-the go charge because of the long connectors, they are likely to damage what they are plugged into unless left alone. I've had things fail before in an inconvenient way so a little redundancy here I believe is wise. I've tried the tiny adapters or short 4" cables with various ends zip-tied together, or the splitter cables which never actually charge at the rate they should, they all kinda suck. The 6-in-1 is needed because the inReach and headlamp are usb-micro, the phone is lightning, charger and battery are usb-c. The usb-a on the cable is helpful when you are at public spaces without usb-c. Anyhow, this looks like a winner, charges at a legit rate for all the devices, something similar ones dont, and seems to be built really well.
